A family business, from the inside
My grandfather started our roofing company in San Antonio in 1946. I spent more than 37 years there, and eventually led it as President and CEO.
Leading a family business teaches you things no classroom does. Growth brings pressure on cash and people. Culture either carries you or holds you back. Family and business decisions don't always stay in separate rooms. And every decision affects a TEAM of people who are counting on you.
I also served as Chief Culture Officer. Culture and leadership are what make a business last. The numbers matter. The people behind them matter more.
I led the company through a transition most owners only face once. In 2025 we joined Progressive Roofing, and from 2025 to 2026 I served on its Senior Leadership TEAM as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions. At LeafGuard by BELDON, I also worked on more than 20 gutter company M&A deals. That work taught me what buyers look for, what makes a business valuable and how much preparation matters.
Along the way I've learned from other owners and CEOs through YPO, where I served as San Antonio Chapter President, and WPO. I've served on the boards of the National Roofing Contractors Association, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, The Kids Trust and the Mays Cancer Center Board of Governors, and today I serve on the UT McCombs BBA Board of Directors. In 2024, San Antonio Express-News readers named me Outstanding CEO.
Today I work with owners of established businesses who want to grow, sell or pass it on, and want someone who has sat in the same chair.
Culture came first.
At BELDON, I served as Chief Culture Officer as well as CEO. Culture was not a side project. It was how we ran the company.
The recognition our TEAM earned came from the people who knew us best: our employees, our customers, our industry and our community.
