Cornerstake Advisory™ · Peer Group
You have carried the big decisions by yourself long enough.
Running a trade company means you are the one who decides, and the one who lives with it. A good TEAM helps. But the people closest to the business are also the ones affected by your answer. That makes it hard to get a straight one.
I am starting a small peer group for owners of established, family owned specialty trade companies. Each owner is in a different trade, so nobody is sitting across from a competitor. Everyone tells the truth. Everyone follows through.
Tell me about your companyWhat it is
Six to eight owners. Five meetings a year. One facilitator, which is me.
I plan and run every meeting. You bring one real decision. The group asks hard questions, shares what they have seen, and then you choose what to do. Before you leave, your commitments are written down. Between meetings, I follow up so the plan does not fade when the work gets busy.
How the year works
- Three meetings in person. Each one starts with an arrival dinner, then a full working day with dinner that night, then a final day that ends by 3:00 PM.
- Two meetings on Zoom, 120 minutes each.
- One hour with me each month, just you and me, on whatever matters most to you right now.
- Written commitments after every meeting, and a check in on each one.
I will share the start date in our conversation.
Who is in the room
Owners of established, family owned specialty trade companies who can make a decision and carry it out. Painting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fencing, stucco and similar trades. One owner per trade, so no two companies in the room compete.
This is a good fit if you are willing to share real numbers and real problems, listen to someone who disagrees with you, and do what you said you would do. It is NOT a place to find customers or to sell to the group.
What stays in the room
Every member signs a confidentiality agreement before joining. Every member also agrees not to recruit or hire another member's TEAM Members while in the group, or for 18 months after exiting the group. What you share stays in the room, under the terms of the agreement you sign. I make the final decision on who joins and who stays, and I make it for the good of the whole room.
What I promise, and what I do not
I promise preparation, a real agenda, written commitments and follow through. I do NOT promise revenue, a result or a sale. The work is yours. The room makes it easier to do.
The investment
The commitment is one year, and it renews each year unless you give me 90 days written notice. I will confirm the investment, what it includes and how the shared costs work in our conversation before you decide anything.
Questions owners ask
- Is this a sales pitch?
- No. I do not sell inside the group. If you ever want to talk with me about something more, that is a separate, private conversation, and it is always your call.
- Will a competitor be in the room?
- No. Each owner is in a different trade.
- What happens after I reach out?
- You and I talk. I ask about your company and what you want from the year. You and I both decide whether it fits.
- How much time does it take?
- Five meetings, one hour a month with me, and the time it takes to do what you commit to.
Tell me about your company.
A few questions so I can tell whether a conversation makes sense. I do not ask for financials, customer names or anything about another company.

No pressure. Just a conversation.
